Born and raised in Minnesota, I caught the international travel bug while on a trip to Spain with my high school Spanish class. Over 30 years later, I am a licensed Spanish teacher who studied in Spain and Argentina and taught at international schools in Saipan, Thailand, Mexico, Guatemala and Vietnam.

I have a passion for maximizing travel budgets and became a student of points and miles travel several years ago. Using points and miles has provided me the option of choosing luxury travel or stretching my miles further by maintaining a tighter budget. Although luxury travel has its advantages, I have found budget travel to be the most fulfilling.
